Aww snap! Lens cap

Hullo and welcome to Quantum Lens Cap, my latest home on the web. I, dear reader, am your host, Prachi Gauriar, and I shall be writing what you will be reading. You may be wondering what sort of site this is going to be. My best answer thus far is, “A Prachi sort of site.” You see, I’m not entirely sure what I want Quantum Lens Cap to eventually become, but I can assure you that whatever it is, it will most certainly be flavored with my particular brand of insanity.

When I first conceived of Quantum Lens Cap, the idea was to use it as a means to talk about all the strange things bouncing around in my head. It’s a rare moment that I’m not pondering something or another, be it music, photography, typography, cosmology, whatever. Why not create a site where I can share those thoughts with others? While I’m sharing my thoughts, it seems appropriate to share my music, poetry, photography, and art as well. So, that’s how I’m going to initially approach Quantum Lens Cap: a place to share my thoughts and creative endeavors. All other content I post will either be recommendations for books, films, and music that I like, or what I’m calling ephemera: links to related content online that I find interesting.

What this site will not be is a personal blog detailing my daily life; I did that long ago and have no intention of doing it again. I’m also going to avoid writing about computers, technology, and politics; I can’t guarantee that I’ll never post about that stuff, but I’ll try to keep it to a minimum. Others on the internet write much better than I about such things anyway.

In any case, that’s the plan for now. I’ve got some articles in the works, so look for those in the near future. In the meantime, take a look around the site, subscribe to the RSS feed, and check out my Flickr Photostream. Until next time…
